Applebee's Serves Up Commerciant's New Wireless Credit Card Terminals

HOUSTON, Texas - May 19, 2005 -Commerciant has announced a strategic partnership with Applebee's International, Inc. (NASDAQ:APPB) to deploy Mobilescape, Commerciant's new wireless handheld credit card terminal. The Mobilescape solution provides Applebee's Carside To Go™ specialists with the ability to quickly and easily process a customer's credit card transaction, saving valuable time and enabling staff to more efficiently and effectively meet the needs of their customers.

The Mobilescape terminal is lightweight, rugged and exceptionally easy to use for staff as well as customers. The terminals can also be instantly deployed right out of the box. In addition, tips and customer signatures are captured on the terminal's touch screen, with a printed receipt immediately presented to the customer. Transactions are then transmitted in real-time across Sprint's CDMA cellular network and reports are immediately available to Applebee's through the secure Mobilescape Manager website.
